Why Vote For Joe?

Joe Peters is a former cop and career prosecutor with local, state, national and international experience.

His background, upbringing and professional accomplishments have given him the gifts and experiences needed to meet the extraordinary demands of the Office of Attorney General – especially in the current environment.

Joe began his public service career walking a beat as a local police officer whose desire was to protect his neighbors and put bad guys behind bars. Joe’s hard work and ability eventually took him to the highest levels of law enforcement; he served state Attorneys General and U.S. Presidents from both parties, who sought him out because they wanted the best and brightest, not a political crony.

Joe was proud to serve as one of the five federal prosecutors in the 3-month long trial that convicted Philadelphia Mob Boss Little Nicky Scarfo. Joe and his fellow federal prosecutor square off against 17 defense lawyers. Scarfo was found guilty on all charges, including the murder nine people (one a a judge).

Compare the Republican Candidates for Attorney General: career prosecutor Joe Peters vs. career politician Sen. John Rafferty.

Bottom line: the Attorney General – the commonwealth’s top law enforcer – must possess these qualities:

  • The AG must be fiercely independent, beholden only to Lady Justice, and have a reputation for unimpeachable integrity.
  • The AG must be in a class by themselves when it comes to competence, experience, and leadership.
  • The AG must have a burning passion for putting criminals behind bars, without fear or favor.
  • The AG must be able to inspire and lead the attorneys, agents and support personnel within the Office.

The nonstop scandals and intrigue coming from today’s Office of Attorney General have greatly diminished its morale and effectiveness. We must restore the full faith and confidence in the Office of Attorney General, which is why Joe Peters is the best choice for AG.

The Associated Press best summed up Joe as a “modern day Untouchable” (a reference to Elliot Ness, the legendarily courageous prosecutor who locked up Al Capone).
